Energy Efficiency Individual Deployment

Energy efficiency has been a rather hot topic in the progressive environmentalist movement. Claims that individuals need to do more with regards to saving energy, that increasing energy efficiency is one of the cheapest means to reduce carbon emissions and increasing energy efficiency is necessary to reduce any detrimental influences from climate change are all true. However, despite all of the calls for energy efficiency and plethora of statistics used to support its further deployment most of the progressive websites that tout energy efficiency rarely discuss the means with which one can begin the process of residential or even commercial (for those small-business owners)-based improvements in energy efficiency. It does little good to spout on and on about the greatness that is energy efficiency if one does not provide direction and assistance (be it direct or indirect) to visitors with regards to how to go about the process of improving energy efficiency.

There are two elements that need to be addressed when focusing on energy efficiency: what changes can be made to improve energy efficiency and how to pay for those changes? With that information individuals will then be able to devise a cost/benefit analysis to maximize energy savings relative to cost savings. The links below, provided by a representative from the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Information center, should help those individuals that are interested in improving energy efficiency with regards to both of the aforementioned elements.
